Recycled content lumber is durable, environmentally sound option for non structural deck components. There are two type of recycled-content lumber: recycled plastic lumber, witch contains only recycled plastic, and composite lumber, witch combines recycled wood fiber and recycled plastic

If you prefer wood decking, choose FSC-certified wood, which comes from forest managed in an environmentally and socially responsible manner. Use FSC-certified lumber for all exterior-decking applications or as structural deck members in conjunction with recycled-content decking
